Phyllis Smith

Phyllis G. Smith, 97, passed away on April 17, 2021 of natural causes. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to James & Margaret Gulbransen, she is preceded in death by two brothers Robert & James Gulbransen, and one sister Marjorie Eatough. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Nannette Gulbransen, wife of brother James.
Phyllis was the loving wife of Kenneth L Smith for 69 years until his passing on April 9, 2015. Phyllis was a wonderful mother and is survived by her four children and their spouses Steven K Smith (Wendy); Linda S Hollander (Jody); Randy E Smith (Penny); & Roger L Smith (Amy), as well as 12 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
Phyllis was an excellent seamstress, loved crafts and painting, enjoyed fishing, watching any and all sporting events, an avid bowler scoring several 200+ games, enjoyed golf, reading and white water rafting when her sons were guiding the rafts over the rapids.
She taught all of us the lessons of love just by the way she accepted everyone graciously and with an out stretched hand of welcome.
Often times when her children introduced themselves people would comment that mom was such a kind and loving joy to get to know.
Mom’s don’t get any better than her. She will be missed!
