After retirement he worked for the BLM for 17 years, and then worked at Shadow Valley Golf Course as a marshal until “fully retiring” in 2007. He and his wife took numerous trips through the years and in 2005 on their 50th wedding anniversary their kids sent them on a trip of a lifetime to London, Paris, and then to Marseille to visit brother Roy and family.
He was a member of the Baptist Church in Plymouth, Florida in his youth. He served as an usher for years at Trinity Fellowship in Boise, and was currently attending Calvary Chapel in Boise. He loved the game of golf and played every Saturday with his sons-in-law, occasionally joined by his grandson. He will be missed by all his family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Cloverdale Funeral Home, with a celebration of Phil’s life to follow at BanBury Golf Course.
