Robert Edward Brady

January 29, 1933 ~ June 15, 2021 (age 88) 88 Years Old

Tribute

Robert (Bob) Edward Brady, 88, went home to be with the Lord on June 15, 2021. Bob was born on January 29, 1933, in Hagerman, New Mexico, the third of 12 children born to Ocie Mae (Howell) and William Harrison Brady. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Louise, his son Matt (engaged to Kelly Petrin) and daughter Victoria (married to Tom McCandless), both of New Hampshire; two grandsons, Dustin of Boston, Massachusetts, and James (married to Haley Brady) of Artesia, New Mexico; and three great granddaughters Paisley, Whitley and Adaleigh. He is survived by two brothers Will, of Midland, Texas, and John, of Artesia, New Mexico.

Bob started his working life as a rancher on his family’s homestead in Hagerman, New Mexico, which he did for many years before moving to the Pacific Northwest, specifically the Tri-Cities area in Washington State, in the early 1970s. There he transitioned his career to becoming a successful real estate agent. In 1974, he met the love of his life, Louise, on a blind date. After a whirlwind romance, they married shortly thereafter.

As devoted Christians, Bob and Louise were members of Word of Faith Center in Kennewick, Washington, where Bob served as an elder for the church for many years and was the church’s Bible school director for In Christ Bible School, for several years. After nearly 30 years of living happily in Washington state, Bob retired from real estate and he and Louise migrated to Boise, Idaho in 2001 and since then have been members of Life Church in Meridian.

Bob was a devoted man of God who ministered to many who sought salvation through Jesus and mentored many in living a life of faith in Christ. Throughout his 88 years, he exemplified his upbringing as a “gentleman cowboy,” wearing Southwestern attire, such as his cowboy boots and hat, treating others with old-fashioned courtesy (addressing others as ma’am and sir), and always had a love for horses. He adored his wife, Louise, was a doting husband and a devoted father to Matt and Victoria. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and by many friends and acquaintances who admired his honesty, sincerity, charming demeanor and deep devotion to the Lord.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 1:30 pm at Life Church, 3225 E. Commercial Ct. in Meridian, ID.
