Rosa passed away peacefully on July 1, 2017 after a brief encounter with pancreatic cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family and dear friends.
Her life was full of family, politics, baseball and amazing adventures with friends.
A game of bridge was always sought after!
“Bode” as she was known to her family, began her life in Ellaville, Georgia on March 10, 1927. She was raised in Columbus, Georgia. While attending Auburn University, she met Lieutenant William Sanders Campbell at a USO dance at Fort Benning, Georgia. They were married before Bill went to the battlefields of France on December 16, 1944.
When Bill returned from the war, he took Rosa, his “Georgia Peach”, to Idaho, where she resided for more than seventy years.
Rosa was preceded in death by her husband, William Sanders Campbell, her parents, Horace and Sarah Yarbrough of Columbus, Georgia, her sister Marilyn Purvis, also of Columbus, Georgia, and her son-in-law Wally McReynolds of Boise, Idaho.
Rosa is survived by her daughters, Cathy (Alan) Hull, Connie McReynolds, and her son, William Sanders Campbell, Jr. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Jason (Rhonda) Hull, Jeremy (Janelle) Hull, Jamey McReynolds and Tyler (Kylie) McReynolds and her great-grandchildren,
Natalie and Patrick Hull, and Hayden and Dylan McReynolds.
Our family wishes to extend our sincere gratitude to the staff at Meadow Lake Village Elkhorn Assisted Living and to Harrison’s Hope Hospice for their wonderfully attentive and tender care of “Bode” in her final days.
We would also like to give our heartfelt thanks to the staff at Hillcrest Country Club for always caring for the “bridge ladies”.
