Tribute

Rosalie Kay (Ulrich) Zarybnicky was born September 1, 1946 at Samaritan Hospital in Nampa Idaho to LeRoy and Martena Sarah (Martin) Ulrich. She died June 16, 2021 at St. Lukes Meridian. She attended Nampa High School in Nampa, Idaho, graduating in 1964. She also attended Western Baptist Bible College, El Ceritto, CA from 1964 to 1965 followed by nursing school at Mercy Hospital in Nampa, ID, graduating in 1967. She attended Boise State University graduating in 1989 in Health Information Management.
On December 7, 1968 she married Alex E. Zarybnicky. Rosie’s family came to America on the persuasion of “William Penn” in order to come to a land where they could worship God unmolested according to the dictation of their conscience. They left their homeland in Germany and arrived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on September 30, 1727. Rosie was very proud of her American heritage.
Those who knew her, know she was a giver and very generous monetarily and with her time. She always made time for her family and friends. She was a lady who stood up for what was right in life. She loved being a parent and child advocate for those children with invisible disabilities. She was a very compassionate person who loved people and those that were ill and in need. And when she cut loose she was lots of fun. She enjoyed her time with her Book Club, Bible Study girls and longtime friends. Her home was always open to others and she loved to cook and entertain. Studying God’s Word gave her much peace, comfort and joy in her life. Church service and fellowship was of great importance to her.
Rosalie worked on the family farm for years and Birdseye foods in 1964, as a nurse’s aid for 1 ½ years at Mercy Hospital and nursed 24 years at St. Lukes Hospital in Boise. She was a Registered Health Information Technician 23 ½ years at St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. Rosie met many special patients and co-workers during her years of nursing and in Health information Management. Some have become lifelong friends. She retired in 2012.
Through the years she attended the Church of the Open Door and Calvary Baptist church in Nampa where she accepted Jesus at age 10 years and was baptized. She was a charter member of Berean Baptist Church in Nampa and attended Whitney Baptist and Meridian First Baptist Church.
Her hobbies included reading, cross stitching, gardening, cooking, stamp collecting, and time with friends and traveling. She was an AddEd Support-Founder of Support/Education Group for ADD/ADHD children and adults from 1988-1991. She was a Bible study leader for approximately 30 years and was a founder of Book Club for friends.
Rosalie is survived by her husband, Alex; son, Timothy L. Zarybnicky of Eugene, OR; brother, Ken Ulrich and family of Nampa; Kesey Badgett and Timothy L Zarybnicky of Boise; Aunt and Uncle Gary and Treva Seymour of Taylorsville, UT and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
