Ruby Davis

Ruby Davis of Kuna Idaho passed away at home in the care of hospice. She was born October 9,
1934 to Fred Powell, Sr. and Willie Maude Methven Powell in Ryderwood, Washington; she was
the 9th of 15 children.
Ron Davis and Ruby married in Elko, Nevada in 1990. Their family was blended, with Ruby
having 2 sons, Buzz McGinnis and Michael McGinnis, Ron’s son, Rick Davis, and Ron’s 2
daughters, Shawna Carter and Tonya Pickett, granddaughter Alex and many other
grandchildren. Ron and Ruby were married for 32 years.
Ruby worked for 15 years as head housekeeper of Linden Convalescent Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ronald on December 11, 2021, and by her stepson
Rick Alden Davis. She was also preceded in death by 3 of her sisters, Erlene, Dorothy, Etta Mae,
and 6 of her brothers, Beuford, Chet, Lindberg, Cleve, Paul, and Clifford.
Ruby leaves behind 3 siblings, Fred Powell, Jr. of Seattle, WA, Shirley Hurst of Sun City, AZ, and
Beverly Meyers of Olympia, WA.
Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 24th, 2023, between 1pm-3pm at 1200 N
Cloverdale Rd Boise, ID 83713. Refreshments following the service.
