Russell Dean Lloyd passed away on the evening of August 3, 2018. He was born December 19, 1925 to Emyrs and Ruth Lloyd in Dodge City, Minnesota. His family moved to Eagle, Idaho when Russell was two years old and he grew up working on the family farm with his sister and five brothers. Russell proudly served his country in the Army’s 75th Division Infantry during World War II, and he was awarded a Purple Heart from his service at the Battle of the Bulge. Russell married Leona McPherson on February 18, 1950 and spent the next 68 years by her side.  Russell worked in the hardware business for Kowallis & Richards for 40 years and was a long-time member of the VFW and the Elks organization. Russell, a devoted family man who always took care of his loved ones, is survived by his wife Leona, daughter Debbie Eardley and grandson Dan Eardley of Boise; daughter Janice (Greg) Clayton and granddaughter Heather Clayton of Anchorage; and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 11am on Monday, August 13th at Cloverdale Funeral Home. Graveside military honors and reception at Cloverdale will follow service.
