Sharon Kay Harbison

Sharon “Katy” Harbison died of Alzheimer’s Sunday, November 18, 2018.
Katy was raised in Pryor, Oklahoma and Glide, Oregon with her sisters Bonnie, Jody, Shirley, Linda, Carolyn and Carla. She attended elementary and high school in Pryor and Glide and enjoyed participating in school athletic and and social programs.
She especially enjoyed horseback riding with her friends and riding in rodeos.

After high school Katy moved to Bartlesville, Oklahoma and worked as a nursing assistant at Jane Phillips Memorial Hospital where she met her future husband of fifty years, Dale Harbison.
During those fifty years, Katy and Dale moved from Tulsa, Oklahoma to Phoenix, Arizona to Missoula, Montana and on to Boise, Idaho in 1982. Katy enjoyed the lifestyle the western states offered, especially skiing and whitewater rafting.

Katy is survived by her husband, Dale; son Erik; grandson Kirkland; granddaughter Kassidy; her father; sisters Jody, Shirley, Linda, Carolyn and Carla; brothers Terry, Léon and Danny; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother and sister Bonnie.

The family would like to thank the staff at St. Luke’s Meridian Hospital and her LDS brothers and sisters for the kindness and compassion extended to Katy and her family.
