Sharon Elizabeth Sherman

Sharon Elizabeth Sherman, 71, of Boise, ID succumbed to the complications of an illness that she fought for 15 years, on January 30, 2023. She was born to parents Guy Russell Bradley Sr. and Martha Elizabeth Bradley, on January 27, 1952 in Boise, ID at St. Alphonsus Hospital.

She graduated from Borah High School in 1970. She went on to study Accounting at Boise State College and graduated with an Associate’s Degree. Sharon worked at Boise Cascade in the accounting department for 40+ years before retiring.

Sharon married Danny Phelps in 1977, and had three children together: Ben, Andy and Brad. Though they both went on to re-marry, Sharon and Dan remained in touch throughout the years.

In 1996, Sharon and her high school sweetheart, Randy Sherman, rekindled their love when fate would have them run into each other in Sharon’s neighborhood when Randy was out yard sailing. They went on to marry in 2010 and blended their families. Over their 27 years together, they have created countless memories, numerous family trips and completed many home projects. Randy’s devotion to making sure Sharon’s final years were lived to the fullest was truly endearing. You could see the bond these two shared right to the end.

Sharon had many hobbies, including snowmobiling, skiing, baking, thrifting with her best friend of 70 years, Darla; camping, and planning family vacations. She loved visiting historical sites and taking the road less traveled. She was a wealth of knowledge and was always unapologetically offering advice. Sharon’s illness impacted her ability to fulfill some of her hobbies in the last few years, but that didn’t keep her from creating memories with her grandchildren. She was honored to be called ‘Grandma Choo-Choo’ – a name given to her by her grandson, Logan, as they shared a love of trains together.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Randy; children, Benjamin (Alicia) Phelps, Andrew (Kelli) Phelps, Bradley (Saffina) Phelps and step-children, Trevor Sherman and Amber (Mike) Barton; her nine grandchildren who she deeply adored: Wyatt, Willie, Will, Logan, Ana, Lacey, Henry, Mabel and Mattie; her brother, Guy (Dawn) R. Bradley Jr.; sister-in-law, Leona Bradley; and many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Guy R. Bradley Sr.; mother, Martha E. Bradley; brother, Lawrence G. Bradley; and grandchild, Theo P. Phelps.
