Sue Ann Ball , 74, passed away peacefully at her home in Meridian on Christmas Eve 2019, she was surrounded by her children, grandchildren and many more who loved and cared for her.
She was born September 13, 1945 in Tacoma, WA to Edward Earl Lukehart and Iona Faye (King) Emerson. She lived a full life as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker, worker and Christian. She loved to cook when she could, kept an immaculate home and just recently became an avid face booker. Most of all Mom loved and cherished her family and friends (whom she considered family). She instilled in us strong family values, unconditional love for all, and respect for others.
Much loved mother of Steve Needles (Jennifer), Kevin (Penny) Morgan, Angela (Todd) Hellickson, Billy Joe (Alice) Walker, Tammy Hall, Toni (Ellis) Williams, Terri Ball, and a very special son-in-law Brian Phillips. Cherished sister to Judy (Sandy) Blodgett, and Pamela (Jim) Hendricks. She is also survived by her 31 grandchildren, 55 great grandchildren, as well as 2 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband and soul mate of 40 years, Virgil “Jr” Ball, oldest daughter Stephanie Phillips, her mother Iona Emerson, father Edward Lukehart, 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Horizon Hospice for the loving care they provided to our Mother and a special thanks to Stephen, Corrinne and Harold for going above and beyond. Also a heartfelt thanks to her granddaughter for her unwavering care and devotion to our Mother these last few months.
She will be dearly missed by all. A Celebration of Sue’s Life will be held at Cloverdale Funeral Home, 1200 N. Cloverdale Rd., Boise, ID on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 1:00 pm in Gibson Chapel with a reception to follow in the Cloverdale Event Center from 2 pm to 4 pm. All are welcomed.
