Tamara Jolene (Tammy) White
1961-2017

Tamara Jolene White, 55, left us suddenly on Sunday evening.  Born on April 30, 1961, in Pocatello, Idaho, she was raised in Idaho and Montana, graduating from Bozeman High School.  Tammy was baptized in the First Baptist Church in Bozeman.

A talented musician, Tammy played piano and sang in choirs.  Her family loved to listen to her play The Entertainer late at night.  As a young woman, she traveled to Europe to sing before Pope John Paul II.
While working towards her Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at the University of Idaho, Tammy obtained an internship position in the seed program at Hewlett Packard.  HP drew her to Boise, her home of many years.

In 1998, Tammy and her former husband John eagerly jumped on a plane to Tulsa, Oklahoma, to receive their son, Travis John.  Travis quickly became the most treasured part of her family, and she loved him with all her heart.

After earning a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from George Fox University, Tammy began a second career in real estate.  She was known for her excellent rapport with clients and colleagues alike.

Tammy was an excellent cook.  She also loved flowers, the ballet, home décor, and her dogs.  She loved travel and Hawaii in particular—she planned to spend her retirement commuting between Boise and Maui.
Above all, Tammy was an amazing host.  Her friends and family were always welcomed with food, drinks, love, and laughter.  Tammy loved to laugh.  Her sense of humor was as quick as her ability to whip up a unique and delicious meal.

Tammy was preceded in death by her father, Murl McNabb, and her grandparents.  Tammy is survived by her son, Travis, stepchildren Sara, Ben (Adam), four step-grandchildren, her parents Joan and Duane, sisters Debbie (Doug), Lisa, Sheri (Matt), and stepsisters Daria (Matt) and Diedra.

Tammy was admired and loved by many, and will be forever missed by her friends and family.

Services will be held at Cloverdale Funeral Home, 4/15/2017 at 10:00am. We will host a celebration of life at her home beginning at noon.  We plan to dedicate a bench in Tammy's honor at the Idaho Botanical Gardens, if you would like to contribute to the fund you may do so at the services or celebration.
