Thelma Arlene Rinehart Coffman was born February 2, 1938. Passed away 12-13-2020. Her loving parents, Stanley and Edith Rinehart preceded her in death. Thelma’s father was retired Army, so much of her early years were spent traveling with her family to Fort Richardson, Alaska; Fort Lewis, Washington; Fort Benning, Georgia; Panama and Fort George Wright, Spokane Washington. Thelma started taking violin lessons at age 4 and played in the all city Spokane orchestra until her father retired and the family move to Indian Valley, Idaho. She attended the 8th grade in a 2 room school in Indian Valley then graduated from Cambridge High School in 1956. She attended Northwest Nazarene College for a year then moved to Boise and went to work. She met her dear husband, Kenneth L. Coffman in Boise and they were married August 24, 1958. Thelma worked for Larry Barnes Chevrolet until the birth of their son Rick Coffman in 1960. Two years later they had a baby girl Debbie Coffman Brownell. After both children were in school she went to work for the Ore Idaho Council, Boy Scouts of America for 5 years. After taking some time off Thelma went to work for the Boise School District working at Borah High School for 16 years where she worked in the library and the attendance office and retired in 2002. Thelma is survived by her husband Ken Coffman of 62 years. Son Rick and his wife Soni Coffman, 3 brothers, 4 sisters, 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
