Timothy Aaron Shelton, 48, passed away August 24th, 2019 with his family by his side. Tim was born May 4, 1971 to Presley Ray Shelton and Karlan Diane (Holmquist) Shelton at Tempelhof international military AFB Hospital West Berlin, Germany. His father was stationed in Germany from 1969-1974. Tim was the second of three children. After leaving Berlin, Tim and his family were stationed in Texas for a short time, before his dad retired to Kimberly, Idaho. He and his family spent a few years in Kimberly then moved to Boise, Idaho where he attended junior high and high school; graduating from Borah high school 1989. Shortly after high school he started his auto body career at Miller Stephen, quickly moving on to Franklin Auto Body where he became a very well known technician. In September 1993 Tim met and married his first wife Susan Jacobsen. Tim and Susan divorced November 1996. Tim later met Randie Johnson and her girls Melinda and Alycia. They became a family in November of 1997. Some of their favorite things included camping, riding dirt bikes, 4-wheelers and more recently his buggy. But most of all family time. Tim also spent many hours in his shop unwinding and building his passion projects; getting his 5 minutes.
Unfortunately, in 2001 he was diagnosed with renal failure. In 2003, his sister Stacy donated her kidney that gave him 13 years of healthy life. During this time he was blessed with a grandson, Kayden Ray, from his daughter Melinda; who was the light of his life outside of his wife and family.
In 2015, he built his race car, a Dodge Dart, with his brother Kris and his good friend Pat Young. Most weekends he was found under the speedway lights winning races with his brother Kris and grandson Kayden by his side. In the midst of all of this his donated kidney started to fail, causing other health complications. Although, Tim was ready to fight, sadly his body was not. Tim passed with the support of his loving family by his side.
Tim was preceded in death by his father, Presley. He is survived by his mother Karlan (Dan) Bicknese, Step-mother Sally Shelton and daughter Sarah Otto, his life long best friend, Randie Shelton; daughters Melinda (Matt) Harvey; Alycia Self; Grandson Kayden Harvey, sister Stacy (Joe) Noble; brother Kris (Keri) Shelton. As well as many nieces and nephews. His family and friends will all miss him very much.
