Tina LaRee Hammett, 65, of Wilder, Idaho, passed away on September 26, 2022 of cancer. She was born on July 13, 1957 in Lynwood, California to parents John and Betty Gibler. She was the youngest of six siblings. After graduating from Woodlake High Class of 1975, she went on to earn her Associates at Los Angeles Community College studying Criminal Law. In both high school and college, Tina enjoyed every sport possible: softball, volleyball, basketball, swimming, diving, badminton, and racquetball. During her time in California one of her favorite jobs was working at Universal Studios as a Security Officer where she guarded the fake sharks from the original Jaws movies.

Tina married Terry Hammett Sr. in Fullerton, California in 1990. Together they had five children, and eventually 15 grandchildren. One daughter, LaRee, died at birth and in recent years they adopted their grandson, Trent. She had a love for being outside. She enjoyed everything from hunting, fishing, driving ATVs through long trails, horseback riding, swimming, to yardwork, lawn mowing, and tractor work. Tina was a part of the Church of the First Born.

Tina is survived by her husband, Terry Hammett Sr.; children, Trina, Lynette, Terry Jr., Tabitha, and Trent; and grandchildren, Delilah, Forest Jr., Lily, Christopher, Malia, Holly, James, Tegan, Declan, Trevor, Trisha, Trinity, and Trace. Tina will be laid to rest with her parents, John and Betty Gibler; daughter, LaRee Hammett; granddaughter, Tamara Smith, and her siblings, Terry, Tim, and Darleen.

A public graveside service will be held at 1PM on Friday, October 28th at Cloverdale Memorial Park. There will be a potluck following the service at Terry and Nicole Hammett’s house in Nampa, Idaho.
