Troy Burril, 45, of Star, Idaho, passed away Sunday, October 8, 2017 due to complications from heart surgery and other health-related issues.  Troy was born in Boise, Idaho, on October 16, 1971.  He attended schools in Emmett and Las Vegas and was active in football, track and other sports.  He also went to BSU for a short time.

On April 26, 2003, Troy married Jennifer France of Gooding, Idaho, at the Cathedral of the Rockies Methodist Church in Boise.  Molly blessed their lives on February 21st, 2004, and has, and always will be, her Daddy’s little girl.  They lived in Emmett and later moved to Star, where they built their present home.

Troy was a great cook.  His stuffed mushrooms were amazing and he loved making pepperoni sticks in his smoker.  His Christmas prime rib was legendary.  Troy loved going to Uncle John and Aunt Dot’s house for his dose of Aunt Dot’s Southern cooking.  Troy was also a big fan of Sushi and he and Jenny shared Sushi the night before he went in for his surgery.

Troy loved his “Garage” and could be found sitting out there with all of his buddies from “The Hood.”  He so loved all of you.  Troy didn’t say a lot and was content just listening and laughing and chiming in every now and then, usually with a joke or smart remark.  He always made time for his friends and family.

Troy loved the construction business and worked with his father and brother building houses up until 6 years ago, when his heart condition and stroke prevented him from continuing.  Troy couldn’t work full time but still helped advise his friends and family on construction and building projects.  He recently helped Molly make a sign for her “Wild Hogs” 4-H group.

Troy is survived by his wife Jennifer and daughter Molly; parents, Carleen and Ron Burril of Garden Valley; Brother Clint Burril of Boise; Uncle John (Dot) Kinney of Kuna; and many other relatives, cousins, nephews and nieces.  Troy was preceded in death by his loving maternal grandparents, Carl and Ethel Kinney, and his uncle Kenneth Kinney.

We would like to express a special thank you to our friend Kristin Richter for being our rock and support over the last few weeks.  Kristin and many of our close friends have helped our family so much through the tough times over the past couple of years.  We also want to thank the doctors, especially the nursing staff at St. Alphonsus Hospital CVICU, CICU, ICU and Heart Care in Boise.  Thanks also to the Rusty Dodge family of Star, for their kindness and help over the years.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Cloverdale Funeral Home, Boise, on Saturday October 14th at 10:00 a.m.  Following the service, a reception will be held at The Firehouse Pub & Grill, 1767 West Franklin Road, Meridian, from 11:30 to 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Molly Burril College Fund, c/o US Bank, Account 253353230191.  The family also wants to thank Quilts of Comfort and Fleece Huggers for the quilt and blanket that were given to Molly and Jenny.  All you crafters, please keep them in mind for donations and help.

We love you and miss you TB!!!
