Violet Deloris Mecier

Our beloved mother, Violet Deloris Mecier “Vi” of Boise Idaho, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, August 1, 2018. Vi was Born December 10, 1933 in Wolf Point, Montana to Stone and Lula Carlson.
   Vi was raised in Wolf Point Montana on a homestead ranch. Violet was very shy when she was young. She grew up riding horses and planting seeds from the back of a horse-pulled tractor. At the young age of 16, she moved to Miles City Montana where she attended Presentation School of Nursing, Holy Cross Unit. She graduated from nursing school on June 3, 1954. Vi moved to California where she joined the Air Force Reserves and achieved the rank of Captain. She was honorably discharged in 1964 and began a career as a Nurse with the Veterans Administration Hospital in Long Beach, California. She transferred to the Boise Veterans Administration Hospital in 1978 where she remained until retiring around 1998. She then went on to work at Treasure Valley Hospital and eventually went to work for Treasure Valley Home Health until fully retiring.
   Violet is survived by her 3 children, son, Paul, wife Tracy; daughter, Carolyn; son, Richard and his wife   Brenda; four grandchildren, Jordan, William, Laura and Garrett Mecier; and her great granddaughter, Isabella. She was a single parent who loved and devoted her entire life to her children.
   Vi loved to spend time with her horses and dogs. She enjoyed spending time on her ranch in Vale, Oregon. Some of her passions were playing the piano, spending time with her family, working in her garden, sewing, and poetry.
   Vi had a very big and caring heart, she loved helping others and assisting animals in need. She touched many lives with her caring, compassion and giving.
   Violet is home with Jesus and we look forward to seeing her again. The family would like to express our thanks to the wonderful care given to Vi in her final days. Also, thank you to all who have lent their support and prayers for our family.
