Wanda was born February 9, 1932 to Wes and Tillie Lowe in Hutchinson, Kansas. The family moved more than they would’ve liked in order to make a living so Wanda lived in Oregon, Idaho & Kansas during her growing up years. When her folks moved to Alaska she followed and met and married her first husband Red James there. They had three children and lived in Anchorage, Seward, Glennallen, Tok, Juneau, Fairbanks & Chistochina during those 25 years. In 1980, she married Don Jordan and followed him to Nevada and Louisiana for his job. When Don retired they moved to Boise. Most of Wanda’s life was spent being a supportive wife and loving mother. However she worked for the Utility company in Fairbanks, Alaska and also the Anchorage Police Dept. When she lived in Elko, Nevada she went to school to become a Medical Transcriptionist. She was one of two of the top transcriptionists at a major hospital in Louisiana and also transcribed while living in Elko, Nevada.
Wanda had a quick wit and a kind heart for animals and the underdog.
She has outlived a son, a daughter, and a granddaughter. Through the hardships she has endured in her life Wanda never lost her faith in God. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband Don, of Boise; a daughter and son-in-law, Julie & Joe Allred of Meridian; a sister and brother-in-law, Jackie & Don Zarr of Boise; three step children, Clayton Jordan of Redding, California; Holly Robles of Santa Maria, California; and Donalda Brunson of Hampton, South Carolina; 5 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, She was preceded in death by her son John and her daughter Jennie, her stepdaughter Judy Carmon her granddaughter Jamie Allred; her brothers Wes & Vern Lowe, and her parents Wes & Tillie Lowe.
