Wanda June Robertson

Wanda June Robertson passed away peacefully on October 1, 2021 in Kuna, Idaho. Wanda was born in Buffalo, Missouri on March 26, 1936 to Arthur and Allie Stewart.  She had four siblings Corbin, Dorsie, Donia and Virginia who have all preceded her in death. The family moved to Santa Clara, California where Wanda met and married Anthony “Tony” George Cano.  They had three children, Dan A. Cano, Renee F. Dorris, Candess J. Cano-Taysom.  In 1965 the family moved to Idaho.  Tony passed away in 1973 however, Wanda remained extremely close with Tony’s family throughout her entire life; those who have not preceded her in death are, Eddie Cano (Carol), Patty Escoruela and Dennis Buck (Shirlee).  Also, very special to her heart was her sister Donia’s son, Derrell Hart (Kris).  Wanda later met and married Darrell A. Robertson and became a stepmother to Bert K. Robertson, Carl Robertson (deceased), Darrell L. Robertson, Tonie B. Robertson (Suzanne). Darrell and Wanda were married for forty-three years until the passing of Darrell in 2019. Together they shared ten grandchildren, Mariah (Joseph), Carey (Travis), Carley (Nathan), Helen (Martin), Steve (Amy), Breanne (Luke), Rachel, Michelle (Reed), Diana, and Christopher. They shared twelve great-grandchildren.

Wanda found joy and happiness spending time with her family both close and extended. She also loved listening to her son Dan play the organ which she also played herself. One of her favorite things to do with her daughters and granddaughters was to take an occasional trip to enjoy herself sitting in front of a slot machine, hoping for the big one.  One of her most valued accomplishments was teaching and passing on to her family, the importance of kindness, compassion and always being there for one another.  Wanda loved her family whole-heartedly as they did her. She will be greatly missed by everyone that knew her and loved her.
