William Nathaniel Lanier

William ‘Bill’ Lanier died peacefully, listening to Willie Nelson, on Monday, May 16, 2022 at Arbor Valley of Cascadia in Boise, Idaho. He was born in Prince George’s County, Maryland on Aug 3, 1956 to the late Wayne M. Lanier, Sr. and the late Margaret P. Lanier. 

Bill visited Idaho in the mid ‘70’s, where he fell in love with the great outdoors, and decided to stay. He has spent countless hours photographing nature, cross-country skiing, hiking,  camping, and rock-hunting. 

After moving to Boise, Bill worked at the Boise Co-op for many years. Later, he worked for the Idaho Youth Ranch. 

Bill was preceded in death by his sister Carolyn Lanier. He is survived by his brother, Mike Lanier and two nieces Jinell Pecsek and Andra Clever.
