Willie C Jones

Willie Charles Jones was born February 21, 1930 in Lathrop County, Alabama. After several months of declining health, Billie passed away peacefully with Ephajane his beloved wife of 70 plus years at his side. He died on June 29, 2021 at the age of 91. He was a wonderful and dedicated husband.
As a child Billie and siblings migrated to Vale, Oregon during the 1936 Oklahoma Dust Bowl where his family homesteaded. He attended school in Vale where he met his bride-to-be, Ephajane Brown. They remained sweethearts since the 4th grade. They married in 1951 as he deployed to Korea. After serving two years he returned home and continued to serve in a military capacity as a helicopter and aircraft mechanic for the majority of his work career.
He raised his family of eight children in Boise: Pamela Jorstad, Michael Jones, Denice Jones, Danielle Gilbert, Kelly Jones, Shiela Hubler, Joshua Jones, and Travis Jones.
He is survived by his wife, eight children and multiple grand and great-grandchildren. Billie is also survived by his two sisters (Peggy Brown, Clara Page) and his brother (Lloyd Dean Jones).
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jess and Ina Jones, two brothers (Glen “Happy” Jones, Jess Duane Jones) and a sister (Twana Quillan).
A viewing will be held on July 6 at 1:00 pm followed by a funeral Mass at 2:00 PM at St. Mark’s Catholic Church 7960 W. Northview St. in Boise, ID. There will be a procession to the graveside at Terrace Lawn Memorial Garden, 4255 E. Fairview Ave, Meridian with burial at approximately 3:30. A reception will follow.
