Tribute

Maximus Samuel Hansen was born in Phoenix, Arizona on May 22, 2009 at 1:13 am. He weighed 6lbs. 2oz. at 19 in. tall. He was perfect. From the moment Max entered this world he was truly gifted at being dramatic. His heart was on his sleeve for anyone that needed it. His sister Vayleigh and him became best friends from the first day they met. The memories they made together bring us so much pride and joy. Everyone always asked if they ever fought, but they just didn’t. They chose to share a room so the other wouldn’t be lonely at night. Their bond was unlike anything we had ever seen in siblings and so special. There was a bit more fighting and arguing when Logan entered the picture. He was a sweet big brother to Logan and Scarlett. He was sometimes patient with them. He was our go to when we wanted them to try something new, he was so good at it! He even let Logan tag along with his buddies a couple times. We loved seeing them all cuddled up on the couch in the morning and evenings.

Maximus was a true and genuine friend to everyone. It was so easy for him to make a friend in just a couple minutes. He always sought out the lonely, whether it was his cousin Braylen who couldn’t keep up with everyone or someone at school siting on the buddy bench. His “awesome friends forever” were Holden and Myles, these 3 had the best adventures together. They brought out the best in each other and they brought so much happiness to our little boy. We will always be so thankful for the friendships they made and how they looked out for one another.

Max really was one of a kind. On his 3rd birthday we got him his first bike, we didn’t even have the chance to show him how to ride, he jumped on it and took off, taking everyone on an impromptu journey down the greenbelt. Before he turned 4 he was a pro at dirt biking, skate boarding, his scooter, swimming and most importantly learning how to stand after falling. Very dramatically. But he still did it.

Determined, kind, fearless, brave are only some of the words you could use to describe our little boy. He loved and made some of our more humorous memories with all of his cousins and Aunt and Uncles. Thank you for loving our baby as much as one of your own.

One day he told Katie that when we hugged him it made him calm. Until the day we get the chance to hug you again buddy please know that we miss you, we love you, we see you everywhere, we think of you constantly and thank you for being our son.
