I am so sad to hear of Mrs. Bierman's passing. I took private piano lessons from Shirley for many years, and she forever left a musical influence in my life. My only regret is that I ever quit those lessons! I loved her beautiful singing voice and enthusiasm. She always encouraged me to be better, especially when preforming for piano festivals at UNR. I always knew she had strong faith in Jesus Christ because she loved it when I practiced playing hymns from my church hymnbook. I will always remember walking into her home and waiting in the pink "parlor" until it was time for my lesson. She loved that room and was so excited when it was finished. I loved playing the piano on her beautiful baby grand with the big beautiful windows in the background. I feel so lucky to have had her as my teacher. She is no doubt singing in the choir of angels in heaven. Sending love and prayers of comfort to your family.

Dear Bierman family,
Mike and I were so sad to read of Shirley's passing on March 19th. We know the angels in heaven must be rejoicing because she is now with them and our beautiful Savior, Jesus Christ, whom Shirley loved so much. She was one of the most vivacious, loving, joyful, women we've ever known. She was a fantastic piano teacher to our daughter Joanna. We all loved Shirley. She was an inspiration and a beautiful woman of God. May God bring you His perfect peace and comfort as you grieve her passing.

Dear Bierman family,
We were so sad to read Shirley's obituary in the Nevada Appeal this morning. She was such a lovely person and I know you will miss her deeply. She was the BEST PIANO TEACHER EVER - so diligent, kind, gracious and loving, and such a memorable part of Anna and Charlie's childhood.
